One of the things about point of view that always strikes me as interesting and often amusing is the degree to which the ‘correct approach’ is considered crucial in some genres and not others.
And by ‘correct approach’ I mean the idea that one should change POV as rarely as possible and at the very least only with well flagged breaks between POVs (like new chapters).
But whole genres do actually thrive on the head jump approach.
