Even if you’re a movie buff, the name Michael Curtiz mightn’t be one you know, but he was a director of many films in the 20thC and many very famous ones at that.
What I find intriguing about the man, is that he directed films in almost every genre on film. Even limiting the list to the best known ones like Casablanca, Robin Hood, Yankee Doodle Dandy, Mildred Pearce and King Creole you see excellent direction in diverse genres.
I think it’d be one interesting movie marathon to pick the best known of his movies and watch them all together!
