The upside of having a notebook addiction is always having spare notebooks lying around. Now the non-digital solution isn’t everyone’s cup-of-tea, but they’re writing tools for some of us still, and I currently have 4 classes of notebooks, 3 of which relate to writing:
The notebook I do actual writing in. Use between one and three of these a year writing longhand on trains etc.
The ‘novel notes’ notebook for helping me nut out and track details of novels. I suspect it’ll be a few years before I get through one!
The ‘fascinating facts’ notebook where I recently started recording the most interesting things I’ve learnt in research for novels. Obviously usage depends on research, but I expect to need a new one in about two years.
Which means I probably shouldn’t buy another notebook – given current supply – until 2016 or so. 😉
