This is definitely the darkest movie on my list. It’s also an odd movie for sitting somewhere between thriller, horror, police drama and those fabulously nihilistic Scandinavian movies, without exactly fitting anywhere, I think.
It’s an odd entry in the list too, because I generally can’t stand serial killer movies or ones where evil wins. Yet, this does such a wonderful job of working the seven deadly sins in a modern context that I forgive it entirely. And it doesn’t hurt that it has a pretty solid cast.
