A while ago, I decided that I wouldn’t get a standard desk chair for my study. I spend my working day in those kind of chairs and my body generally tells me what it thinks of my trying to do another few hours once I get home (when I’m editing/writing and not… well… weaving).
The final decision was to have two different “chairs”. One being a gymball, because I’ve always liked using one as a seat. You just wobble around on one for very long, so the alternate is a kneeling chair. As a rule, you can’t sit on them for all that long either, so it forces me to swap and that’s a good thing.
So far, so good.
The knees took a while to get used to the kneeling chair, and it does mean moving the writing computer around a little to adjust for height, but the various ache prone bits of me seem much happier.
